A girl from an affluent background, Rani faces an adaptive challenge when she is married into a difficult family. The show traces Rani's journey from being a little girl to her metamorphosis into a woman - a woman with high ideals and strong character who faces all obstacles without flinching. She triumphantly journeys through her life's trials keeping her values intact; the values learnt from the great Indian epic, 'Ramayan'.

'Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki' is a story that depicts victory of good over evil and the importance of treading & persisting on the path of 'truth'. Winner of numerous awards, the show continues to be one of the front-runners on the Indian prime time viewing space; a strong indicator that audiences love 'Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki'.

Other popular aspects of the show are the music and the soulful lyrics especially written for each episode.

Soft spoken and hard working, Reena Kapoor Nijher essays the role of Rani, this being her first big break in the Television industry. It was a tough task for a newcomer, but she rose to the challenge and has now become iconic with her powerful portrayal of Rani and has a big fan following.
