I have no words to describe this wonderful movie...it is absolutely one of the best movies of all times n "the best" movie of our time.i always stood by my decision of not marrying, but this movie made me think seriously about marraige and I felt I should give it a go. The movie is a real-to-life portrayal of the "journey from engagement to marriage" in the true indian context. This is how a couple should be - always caring 4 each other n respecting each others values, beleifs n feelings. What moved me most was the bridegroom's loyalty towards his partner even when he knows she ia fighting 4 her life n wud suffer all her life coz of the accident that happens to her. In our times, when people cheat on their partners, this movie as a novel concept of life comes in as a welcome move towards being loyal to our loved ones...great work!!!kudos!!! All-in all, a wonderful site n a truly awesome movie...

I am a first year student and a resident of Lucknow.This was the classic movie i think i was waiting for years. At first,when I thought about this simple movie I could found nothing which had captivated my deepest thoughts and developed an unknown keen interest in itself. Then it striked . It is the sheer 'SIMPLICITY' which makes this episode the very BEST as it is. The 'simplicity', the 'purity', the 'selflessness', the 'dedication', which Indian Cinema has been consistently ignoring throughout the years in the blind run to get compared to hollywood movies. The movie has left me with no words to describe its innumerable qualities.In the theatre, I could sense the inevitable soft smile which the movie kept throughout on the viewers.I enjoyed every moment of the movie. Sometimes I wonder what the life would have been if everyone around us would be as good and simple as the characters in the movie. Since I watched VIVAH for the first time, it ha s been 27 times that i have watched it, everytime more loving and more sweet than before. Talking about the acting, Alok Nathji looked more composed than ever in the role of a father.His narration had the feelings to encapsulate all the attention to the movie. Shahid was fabulous and we all would love to see him in this kind of roles which are pure. Promotion of our culture of arranged marriages is a new topic altogether by the director and would surely infuse some kind of good sense in my generation.All the things apart ,but it was the fragile elegance of Amrita which took me by surprise and which I think was the most important pillar of VIVAH's success history.The way she encrafted the role of Poonam showed she is a natural!!! The lazy shyness which she forefronted is what india will surely going to miss deeply in days to come! Finally I would love to mention that I just loved the movie. And hence I would strongly suggest the VIVAH team to regroup and make VIVAH II and give some more jewels to Indian Cinema to preserve for years to come. Thank You...
