This is the firm belief of Ramkishen, who is happily married to Mamta. They have four lovely grown up children - Vivek, Prem, Sangeeta and Vinod, who share close bondings with each other. Sangeeta is married to Anand and they have a sweet little daughter. Vivek marries Sadhana, Prem gets engaged to Preeti and Vinod falls in love with Sapna.

Ramkishen's dream is to have all his sons and daughter-in-laws stay together, sharing with each other life's joys and sorrows. However, the so-called "well-wishers" of the family keep talking about how families are breaking up in today's times.

One day, problems arise in Sangeeta's family. Sangeeta and her husband Anand have to move out of their ancestral home and start life anew. This comes as a jolt to Ramkishen's family. Ramkishen's wife, Mamta, feels pained for her daughter and starts worrying about the future of her sons. There are talks of separating the boys. But Ramkishen's ideals prevail. The sons and the daughter-in-laws stand united in their moment of crisis. |
| Finally, Sangeeta and Anand are happily re-united with their family. The sons and daughter-in-laws of Ramkishen prove that "the family that prays together, eats together... stays together". |
